Position Summary
The Wealth Planner role at Bollin Wealth Management LLC will provide the right candidate with a variety of rewarding opportunities leading to positions of increasing responsibility. You will collaborate with the Lead Wealth Planner on the creation and implementation of comprehensive financial plans, develop and monitor investment strategies, provide counsel on tax minimization, estate planning, risk management, retirement planning and education planning strategies.
This position will also be responsible for assisting with the firm’s business development activities. As the successful candidate develops and progresses in this role, it is expected the Wealth Planner will assume the role of lead relationship manager for some client relationships.
Candidates with their own existing clients are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Lead Wealth Planners by preparing for and participating in client and prospective client meetings.
- Collaborate with Lead Wealth Planners to develop and present tailored comprehensive financial plans, including retirement income planning, investment, tax minimization, risk management, and estate planning strategies.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates to financial plans to reflect life changes or evolving market conditions.
- Provide ongoing education and guidance to clients on financial matters, helping them make informed decisions.
- Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and financial planning best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with RIA standards and policies.
- Work on firmwide projects and initiatives to improve the firm’s planning services and the lives of our clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications: Working towards obtaining or possessing the Certified Financial Planner™ designation is strongly preferred. Related designations (CFA, CPWA, CPA, ChFC) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in financial planning or a related role. Experience within an RIA environment is a plus.
- Licensing: If CFP® designation is not yet completed, Series 65 preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) and CRM tools.
- Strong understanding of investment products, tax strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, retirement income strategies, and risk management.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite software products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
- High ethical standards and commitment to fiduciary duty.
